View Full Version : Late bloomer

I'm definitely a late bloomer - I'm 14, but I still seem to have _no_ sign of puberty. I'm completely hairless, my penis is about 2.8 (no, not flaccid - when erect!) and my balls are still childish-looking. I'm not tall either - about 5ft. Everybody in my class is ahead :°(.

Are there other ppl here who passed through the same experience? If so, what was the very first puberty change you noticed?

Also, when I masturbate, nothing comes out. I know that pre-puberty ppl won't have any cum, but isn't there supposed to be at least lubricating pre-cum?

I would say to go see a doctor because to me that doesn't sound very normal at 14 maybe there is something he can recommend for you.

Well, I've had physical examination two months ago,and the doctor said that I was late, but that it wasn't abnormal at this age. In a way, I'd preferred it would, so I'd get something to have puberty started faster!

Well, don't rush puberty. Everyone grows at a different time and age. Well at least you were checked and everything is okay. Now the bad news is about puberty, is that it is just a long waiting game, body change wise.

I would agree with your doctor.

Puberty can happen late for people, yeah it might not be the norm but its certainly not extremely abnormal. I wouldn't worry too much puberty can last up until your early 20's so you still have plenty of time to develop :)

About the precum - That can happen but might not. I take it you get an orgasm (or a funny feeling) from masturbating?

Well it is really a question to bring up with your doctor. 14 seems really late. Also, just think of it as a few more years of steady growth. If you don't start this year, definatlly bring it up at your next check up / doctors appointment.

PS: your official start of puberty is when you start producing seamen, so when this happens, you have started. Good Luck.

Hope this helps.

I'm only 13 1/2 but I'm almost the same as you No signs of puberty. I'm a little bigger 3 1/2" hard almost 1" soft but totally hairless like you and tiny balls. My right one eve disapears back into my body sometimes. Do you get teased a lot by the other kids who are ahead of you? I do

You are late but its definetly nothing to worry about yet. I was in the same situation as you at your age I didnt start noticing any development till I was 15. I came for the first time when I was like 15 and a few months, then the pubic hair came soon after. I've heard of quite a few people starting at 15 and even 16 as well.

You are just a slow starter. Dont worry about it to much right now, itll happen when your body is ready.

I wouldnt say it is normal, but this kind of things is heard of. Don't worry. You will start to grow 'all around' so hold on tight! Think of it as you can jerk where ever you want with no mess? Think positive! As for pre-cum, you might not have any because your glands may still be developing! Good luck man! You can do it!

Yeah, I definitely get orgasms. It is just that nothing comes out.

Some do now and then, but since I don't really care much about what they're saying, they usually quickly stop teasing me, as they see it doesn't really work ;).

Thanks for the reassuring words. I hope I won't have to wait till 16, though ! :)

Yeah i was a late bloomer i guess, and i was always the shortest out of my friends. my first sign of puberty was like 13 14 and it was pubes. but from 14 to 16 pretty much everything developed and now im average height, and a bit bigger than average length. just give it time and everything works out. the human body knows what its doing so let it do its thing! :)

that is perfectly normal there are people that dont even start puberty until they are 16. i have a friend that just turned 16 and he just started getting pubes this year. im 15 and i have more pubes ( when i let them grow) than he does and also my voice has changed.

Oh, looks like I'm not alone for sure! Wasn't it too hard for you to be late? I admit I don't care most of the time, but sometimes it is not very fun to be taken as a small kid when some of my pals look much more mature!

Sure! In fact, there *is* a girl, or so it seems, that is attracted by me, and I admit it is true for me. Not sure how far I'm ready to go with her at the moment, though - it would probably not be very funny for her to be with a childish-looking guy...

'reap my harvest'? Ok, I admit, the meaning of that in this context overflows my limited knowledge of English!

HIs "symtoms" are similar to what i was, a late bloomer, Puberty happens at differnt ages, you will catch up.

Dont rush it.
It feels good once you have finished :)

This is basically my experience.

I started puberty right around my fourteenth birthday. (I'm 18 now and almost completely developed.) To make matters worse, I skipped a grade, so everyone else was way more developed than I was in those years.

Don't worry though, your time will come. And eventually, you will loathe puberty.

don't worry. you're just a late developer. some boys develop later than others. don't let it bother you.

Lots of people bloom late, just be patient, there's not much else to do
