Of course it's possible. Not everyone knows right away that they like the opposite sexs and some people are so far in the closet and just don't even realize they're blocking themselfs from coming out.

In theory though, to deny it and to push yourself in the closet wouldn't you have to recognise that you are what you're denying?

You don't neccessarily need to know your sexual orientation to be bolstered in the closet... One could be complete confused about who or what they like, and the more they contemplate it, the more they will want to enclose their thoughts on that and not let it out.
