Odd/ rare sport

What sport(s) do you play that are odd/ rare




For me it is crew (rowing) I'm from the us, michigan to be exact so it is rarer for it to be a varsity sport in my school

My school has a fencing team. Unfortunately, I was a tad late so they didn't let me join :(

This may not be odd, but it is an uncommon sport to be "A team" not just recreational. Badminton it's the sport almost like volley ball, but instead you have rackets and an object to hit called a (birdie) which is a cone shaped thing that you have to hit over the net. It's not a very fun sport to me, but they do have it as a team sport here.

I've heard the two terms used interchangeably. What's the difference?

I don't think it's a rare sport but many seem clueless what it is: racquetball. It's a mix of squash and tennis in that the racquet is about the size of a tennis racquet, it's played in a court as squash is but the court is much bigger, no tin, the ball is bouncy as hell and you can have the ball bounce from the ceiling, side walls and front wall to reach the front wall.

I used to play a lot and was fairly good, winning places in provincial and national tournaments, offered to be part of Team Ontario (turned it down for some reasons), had some big brand names let me use expensive equipment for a match or two without having to pay for it afterward or sample some recently or soon-to-be released equipment.

Paintball - shooting with balls filled with paint

Airsoft - shooting with plastic pellets

Racquetball is fun, I used to play it with my friends Chris and Kari all the time after work.

Then there's Pickleball, we played that in high school gym, it's a cross of tennis and badminton.

I play paintball. It isn't really "odd" though. It's more like extreme (according to the mighty Wikipedia),

Haha I do Trampolining :) Only one in my whole school to do it.

Dunno how rare it is but motocross if you class it as a sport
