why do some people think that Chinese food consists of cat? I mean, I've never seen or eaten CAT in China or here.
I think only parts of China eat cat, but if I ever visit there, I would refuse to eat cat....ugh
I'm just saying, some people apparently hate Chinese food because they have roast cat? um it's not only roast cat. it's more than that, delicious food.
Besides, my mom doesn't kill cats and COOK them -_- sheesh

What I had said was meant solely as a joke, based off an old urban legend.
Apparently though, there is a basis to it: Snopes (http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/petition/bernard.asp)

American-ified chinese food should be called "Converted American Food". It really isn`t Chinese if not from China, but made by the Chinese.

I love chinese food.. and I doubt the restaurants put cat in their food. I'd imagine it's kinda expensive, seeing as cats arent kept in cages and bred for their meat on farms(as far as I know O_o).
*Glances at my cat* HIDE :'(

I don't know about cats, but I heard that some parts of China and Korea eat dog.
And I'm 100% sure they don't serve it in Chinese restraunts in America or Britain. I mean, where in the US or GB would you buy dog meat?

Find a stray and kill it? Or just bread them for it?
On topic, I never came across it once in the two weeks I spent in China a few years ago. Also, as other people have said, Chinese food you get in the west is normally nothing like PROPER Chinese food. You can find the odd Chinese takeaway in the UK which keeps things pretty authentic but there's always that Western influence in most of it :(

well, it's not an issue if CATS will be eaten. Like other animals that is considered to be eaten like pig, chicken, cow .. uhmm, cats has meats too, right? However, i just consider them as Pet animals and not as a food :)
