Prawns

This is strange but everytime I eat something that contains prawns,I got a rash in my mouth,throat and on the lips.Does any of you have these symptoms:confused:?

No,just prawns.Nothing happens when I eat other types:oyster,shellfish,....

I'd stay away from prawns if I were you... It sounds like you have an allergy to them.

Exactly, seems like you're alergic to prawns. I don't think that's uncommon.

But it's usually a shellfish allergy. I've never heard of someone being allergic to just prawns. Doc's just to be safe, imo.

I agree with the diagnosis of a shellfish allergy. Although, I don't quite get why you seem to have kept eating them if you react badly. Ah well.

If you don't have any allergy when it comes to other forms of shellfish. Such as Shrimp, oysters and others. Maybe it was the seasoning? Just have that checked out the above OPs have a valid point.

Prawns are basically shrimp.

Yeah, it sounds like you should get it checked out. And it sounds like it's an allergy to seasoning on the prawns, not the actual prawns

I'm sorry, but reading everyone saying "Prawns" is really reminding me of District 9...

Anyway, your probably allergic to something in it, like the sauce or something.
