alright, my parents are makinging me nervous...

so, my mom was talking to me about my GF today and if i ever need condoms or other "supplies" to tell her or my dad. so when i tell her, she was shocked. not to mention my dad is know required to have "the talk" with me tonight. anyways to go about "the talk"? is it best just to shut up? or what? im pretty sure im ready to have sex, but its kinda hard to tell unless your kinda you know, there with the person.

Advice please.

I never had the talk with either of my parents, they figured sex ed was enough I guess, and thank God for that because I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face with my parents talking to me about sex.

I had "the talk" shoved down my throat in fifth grade, along with all my classmates, since they gave us a Sex Ed seminar at the end of the year. My parents never really thought it necessary to repeat that.

I think that nowadays, "The Talk" is what triggers all the sex jokes that we teenagers like to make. Think about it, how many people made sex jokes before having a sex ed class and at least somewhat understaning sex? for me it was nothing but Sex jokes for a couple of years.

Dude, your parents set you up... I'd just be like "with all do respect dad, I feel I am ready, you told me to let you know, and know I would appreciate it if you follow through with that." I guess that'd be the best thing to do.

Besides, it can't be as bad as my rents: they thought I had an STD cause I had a U.T.I., and I got a talk from BOTH my rents...

i had the sex talk with my mom she found my condoms... i told her i have them as a precaution if the situation ever happened... just tell your parents that. that you want them as a precaution if the situation ever came up.. better safe than sorry right....

Well if I'm honest despite your parents offering to give you supplies I wouldn't of taken them up on their offer and just go and buy condoms etc. myself, that way it keeps them in the dark and stops any awkwardness.

The talk for most people ain't too bad, your best just kinda taking it in a light hearted manner and not too seriously, obviously don't laugh back in his face but light hearted enough not to worry about it.

When I get "talks" from my parents, I find that its best to just listen and not talk (or just pretend to listen) unless they ask you something specifically.

i had the sex talk with my dad when i was 9 it want really that bad.... i mean we had some laughs and all but overtime it was a good expierince... but my parents would never let me have sex..for right now.. lol they said if they caught me having sex b4 im married they would cut my balls off and the girls father would help :l lol but thats abusive and probably illegal so i guess they would don nuthing but ground me :D just anpther parental threat.

the talks not so bad, just listen and nod. dont build it up in your head and it will be fine, you listen and never bring up anything about sex again with your parents (unless absolutely necessary).
