Does anyone here listen to music in other languages i find something so surreal and powerful about it. I mean proper music now and not a french version of Mika which i cant stand. I mean real music. If you do what genre? Band? album? songs? throw out whatever you've got. I've a very unusual taste in music i wont listen to pop or anything and i do translate my lyrics so please nothing silly, Discuss some good music please.

Well..I listen to Edith Piaf and Pink Martini. They're french. I like them, I don't honestly know what the lyrics mean, but I like it. It's older music.

I can tell you a few portuguese ones:
- Virgem Suta (Songs: Tomo Conta Desta Tua Casa, Vovó Joaquina, Linhas Cruzadas, Dança de Balcão)
- Diabo Na Cruz (Songs: Dona Ligeirinha, Os Loucos Estão Certos, Corridinho do Verão, Tão Lindo)
- I doubt you'll like these, but Deolinda (Songs: Movimento Perpétuo Associativo, Fado Toninho, Fon-Fon-Fon, Um Contra O Outro)

And the soundtrack for Vicky Cristina Barcelona, in spanish or just instrumental, either way it's awesome! :D

My all-time favourite musicians are all Japanese: Susumu Hirasawa, Rurutia, Morita Doji

Feel free to look any one of them up, they are singer-songwriters who write and compose all of their own music - each with a style of work irreplaceable in its own way.
