Talk about something she likes, or that you like. If you saw a good movie, be like "I just went too see this movie, *Insert title* I really reccomend it, it was awesome!", and just let it flow.

^Yeah, just find something that casual that you can talk about. Movies, music, things you could do together and all that jazz.

The best thing in the world to do is just go with the flow...

Being the old curmudgeon I am, I can't talk about texting without sounding biased but....I'll try. But first - maybe your conversations are running out because you're constrained by TYPING MINI PARAGRAPHS THROUGH A PHONE!!!! Texting as a means of trying to have a conversation is by far the worst way of communication. It's cold, impersonal, limiting, and mind numbing. If you want to have a conversation with someone TALK TO THEM!! darn kids and their texting and their rockn'roll lol. Sorry. out of my system. ONWARDS!
as previously said, just practice your small talk. Movies, weather, gossip, fashion whatever. It's amazing how if done properly, a conversation can carry on from the dullest of subjects. My aunt for example, can literally be at a bus stop, say hi to the stranger next to her, and 30 minutes later know her entire life story. Some people really have strong conversing skills. Just practice!

Stop texting so much. Save those good conversations for when you're face to face. It's much more memorable.

Alex, my man, we 17 year olds are not curmudgeons, we are just seasoned; we've been around the block a few times. As for the main qustion, me and my gf talk about fuckin eachother when we run outta everything else... Or we just tell funny stories, and occasionally argue

haha speak for yourself but I'm pretty sure I'm really an 80 year old living in a 17 year old's body XD
If you're really burning through material that fast, then just continue talking about fuckin each other LOL. Am I picking up an innuendo of boredom with that? ;) Dirty talk, and telling funny stories seem pretty entertaining to me. I'm not sure what you want out of your texting convos, because that seems to be pretty typical conversation. Like I said before, texting is limiting in terms of how in depth you can be in.

I think you shouldn't text to her so much. actually talk to her. it's different talking to her by texting than actually speaking to her.
as the others said, texting isn't as good as actually speaking to her
you can talk to her about movies, TV, music, anything of interest. ask her what she likes to do etc
