Okay, Like WTF, Just lately i have seen an increase of spammers.
On blogs mainly. Just recently two of my posts have been spammed with shit like adverts for shopping sites
Now, my question, I think that Admins should up the security on joining. It may be hard, but it could help.. Because One : we dont know what these spammers could be releasing about our posts and such
And Two : Its ruining our experience on here..
Okay so my rant is nearly over, Last thing.. a nice message to spammers
Get the f**k off here, find some other site.
Thanks.

I haven't noticed any of that... But you said it's mainly blogs, I don't use the blog feature much. Is it only blogs or is it spreading to the rest of the site?
It's probably spam bots... I can't see why people waste their lives spamming random things :/ what a waste...

I've had a random comment on one of my blog posts too. Something about offering advice to Christian women.

Use one of those little codes when signing up with "Prove that your human" thing?
Seems stupid, but it helps in some cases.

Vt does have one of those. At least it did when I signed up.
Just get over it and report it, it's not as if it's doing anything to you.

There's not really anyway of preventing people with no lives having no lives :)
All we can do is ignore it and report it really.

I don't remember filling out a captcha thing.
But it was almost 3 years ago
If we don't have one, implementing one sounds like a good idea.

There's a captcha, so it's just losers. Ignore em.

Yeah, there's no way of getting rid of spammers. It's their own lives their wasting, don't let them impact yours. Just delete/report it.

Unfortunately, there are limits to what we can do to prevent spammers from registering. After they register, we tend to find them very quickly once they start spamming and freeze/ban them, but there's little more we can do.

I know what u mean. There needs to be some kind of 'human test' with the wierd writing and stuff that would help

Most of them are either trolls or 100 post spammers. The staff has been doing quite a lot lately to take care of this problem, but we have to see the spamming happen before we can do anything. Now, because of that, there's going to be a spam problem.
