i often get erections when i wake up also, men have erections at night often, just because thats how the sleep cycle works, along with sexual arousing, men can get erections from deep relaxation, that of what you feel after a night sleep, hope i could have helped

well to be exact you get a morning erection mainly because you have sex dreams at night. It has been scientifically proven that every man has at least 2 or 3 such dreams during a night sleep period, ofc like most our dream we can't remember their content, unless they are extremely intense( like those that make you come while asleep). Once you grow older and start having an active sex life your sexual desire becomes more balanced and so your dreams subside and become less frequent, as a resault your boners become less frequent also.
