ok so for the past 5 months or so my voice has been cracking alot, and then yesterday my voice cracked like almost every word i said, and so i guessed that my voice would change the next day right? well i wake this morning, and i can barely talk, i try to talk and it hurts but i can say short sentences (my voice didnt change either) is it because my voice is still in mid-change? will it change when i sleep tonight?

EDIT: okay it actually doesnt hurt but it is very hard to talk

ya id say ur voice is changing. but with ur throat hurting like that and cracking every other word id say id could be a tonsil problem. if ur throat is still hurting in morning u should tell ur parents because could be tonsils.
hopefully just ur voice changing

It's probably your voice but as the guy above me said it might be your tonsils so i'd go to the doctor if it doesnt get better soon

i'd be surprised if his parents didn't already know

it probably isn't tonsilitis or strep throat cause i've had both this summer and they hurt. so it's probably just your voice

it could be laryngitis... its not painful but you basically cant speak much... if anything, see what your parents think it is...

Well my friend...
In oyur teenage years, you will go through some changes. Some of these changes may be awkward and uncomfortable, like your voice changing.

There's really nothing you can do. My friends voice broke horribly, and it went on for at least a few months. You just have to bear with it and try to get on normally with life. Gargling salty water could possibly help, but no guarantee.

Having said that, if it does begin to hurt or strain, a doctor would definatley be your best option.

It is not an instantaneous change in voice. Mine cracked for a few months, while some of my friends cracked for a few years. It differs from person to person.
