Does it bother anyone else that all Obama can do about this spill is blame BP for it. Not to mention the fact that the oil on the coast is considered "evidence" so its illegal for citizens to clean it up. And all the people who are supposed to clean it up, don't. So what's supposed to happen then? Are we supposed to all sit around as it gets worse day by day, or are we going to do something about it?

Personally, if I lived down by the Gulf coast, I'd say "to hell with the law" and start cleaning up. Sure I might get arrested for it, but then that would reach news and more people would want to take action against this.

So what are your thoughts? What do you think should be done?

Wrong. BP and the Coast Guard are working to clean it up, but at the rate of it coming out of the well, it is humanly impossible to stop it from going where it is going. Of course BP cut corners with the Deepwater Horizon drilling, they are lying about how much is coming out every day, and of course it is their fault.

You forgot to mention that Obama is till "Brain Storming" to find ways to clog the pipe. I even heard at some extent they were going to clog it with garbage. Like we really need more pollution than what is already present. The company guaranteed that even though the pipe is at a 5000 ft underwater pipe that there was no way that a leak or break would happen. They should have remembered that there is nothing guaranteed in life but dying. The is partly Bush's fault for his condoning of "Drill,Drill,Drill" a conservative way of using more tax payers money and putting the environment in a position as such.

They have claimed that this hole isn't going to be covered until December. Giving the current right off the Florida west coast will force it to travel around the state as move up the east coast and along the way destroy the entire ecosystem along with it. Ex: The Florida Keys, the coral reefs and the aquatic life that flourishes there is very abundant and has been there for a very long time. Also the state of Florida relies on the tourists as a way of funding the state because Florida residents don't pay state tax will suffer even more because of the hiking prices in virtually everything to make up for the loss.

This is a very fucked up position and I would like to see what Obama is going to do to maybe act in a more swift way to help resolve this a little sooner. As of right now I'm not impressed.

It is BP's fault. Drilling is expensive per day, about $1Million a day. Speeding things up will mean more drilling for the same cost, like getting you money's worth. They were drilling to fast and what do you know, this oil spill. They knew the risks. They most likely have done this before on other platforms but just got lucky nothing bad happened. There luck ended in this oil spill.

I believe that Obama is trying his best to fix the oil spill. But do you want all our money to go to the oil spill? I hope not. It will be expensive to clean up and to stop it. He is trying his best, and when he blames BP, he is saying the right thing.

The oil spill is not the goverments fault in anyway. Are they going to go check up on every oil platform everyday to make sure its safe? No. All I can say is Obama is trying his best, and BP caused the whole oil spill.
