I don`t think it would work well if you are`t in her brother`s good graces.

I don't think is a good idea with a brother like that... but he wants to protect her, that's all... you could try talking to him in a nice way :)
if you don't see her that much... well that can be an issue if you want to go out with her every weekend, but if you can stand going out just 1 time every once in a while it's ok...
the important issue is the brother, talk to him, if it doesn't work... ask her father if you can date her :) really formal, but really good idea too...
GOOD LUCK!!

her brother has no right to control her relationships. its her choice not his. if i were you i'd keep talking to her and see her more.

I think the brother has the right of this. He loves his sister and you are older than her. You should just choose someone who is closer to your age group.

Well it's a brotherly thing to be protective over your sister, but he has no right to control who she dates and when. Is there any way you could talk to her brother, maybe over facebook or msn? Just let him know you won't do anything to hurt her, etc. As for the distance i understand it's hard, but at least you can see her, although not as often as you'd like, just stick with it and make the most of the time when you are with each other.
