Imagine is life had been simple. No pain. No drugs. No sleepless nights. No doubts about your right to exist, to live and breathe on planet earth.
An impossible dream. A fool's paradise. The child's fantasy. Only a mug would ever a dream of such a thing, knowing it would never come true, right?
That right, to lead a life of uncomplicated insignificance.
A life where you don't feel you're forced to hide your true self behind a mask in front of your so called friends.
And only when you leave their company, can you remove it, and become yourself.
A life where you hadn't only not kept going past rock bottom, hadn't even gone near it. Where you don't even know what nadir means.
Is it wrong to dream?
If mankind had never dreamed, wondered about things they couldn't see with their own limited vision. They'd never see the heavens. Never reach the kind of stars that only exist in children's stories.
Is it wrong to dream of a life without scars, without doubt, without prejudice, and the self hatred. Is it wrong to dream?
No. No it is not.
