This is a video my mom got from a counselor. I don't know if she's watched it yet but I was curious to see what it had to say, if it was from a very medical standpoint, or psychological, or even an ignorant one. I was really pessimistic at first, but after I watch for a few minutes, this guy really spoke the truth. He understood, more than anyone I have interacted with. The 3 doctors, several nurses, 2 counselors and my mom all failed to understand they way he does. And he is explaining it to an audience. Trying to make them understand. Brett Ullman (http://www.brettullman.com) honestly understands it. He doesn't push seeing doctors or going into counselling or anything like that, although he does mention it, and encourage it, it's not pushy. He talks about many aspects of SI and suicide (the emphasis is on SI though). And he made an extremely good point on stopping,
You need to stop because you want to stop, not because others want you to.

I encourage anyone to watch it if they can, it just really changed how I was feeling today, and I hope it can change this for you guys too.

I went to the website and noticed it's all about Christianity trying to get self harmers to believe in their religion.

Honestly, I didn't look at the website, just put it there. In the video he didn't push "Jesus saves all" type shit.

Then why would you write all that stuff about him?

This is looking a bit religious, but it's hard to tell if it's a "shove religion on everyone" or "we're christan, you don't have to be, but we want to help"

However, why are eating disorders being lumped in with cutting? Two different animals man

Because I watched the video?

Yeah, the eating disorders being part of SI didn't make sense to me either. But over all it was pretty decent.

Yes there is. Being the fact they are both harming to one self. Amanda posted this because she thought it would be a good thing for people to see, do not start a debate on it please.
