You feel god is against you.
Fate is working against you.
The world, in summary, is
not on your side.
Throughout the pitch dark
of the fighting
On the days it is hardest. to see, and find the beacon of light that keeps you fighting. The glow of hope.
On the days you are most tempted to lay down your arms
And cease the fight.
We do not request help from people. Assistance. Simply to win. But to help us seek out the state of bravery, courage, simply to win, to crush the demon. But perhaps more importantly, we seek out the bravery needed so we can face, whatever the future may throw at us, whether things got worse, better, or stay the same. If that bravery helps us. put the knife. Get out of bed. Put the pills back in the cupboard. Step away from the edge.
Because it is with that courage, and the determination, that stubbornness. The unquenchable hunger to find the answer, that keeps us going.
That we will find the strength to overcome, to win.
