I am sorry if this upsets people, but I very confussed at the moment. How come if cutting is so bad why does it make the pain go away, even thought I am causing bodly harm and pain to my self?

In the long run it does not help you at all. It is simply a temporary numb then creating another cut, scab, scar to hide. When you cut you look for the blood you look for the quick fix on pain. Then it becomes and addiction to the point where you can't stop and they are all over your body. Then when your parents or others find out especially your parents. they may think that it was something they did. Or something they could have done to stop you.
It's not healthy. There are so many other ways of releasing stress and anger. That self harm just shouldn't be an option.

Thank you telling me more about what happens. This seems to be the only I can "deal" with what my life has turned into, putting on a mask every day. And feeling alone.

The fact of the matter is though that you truly aren't alone. Putting on that mask every day and enlarging your problems by cutting and using self harm as an escape never works. It never fixes anything. It only creates another problem and another excuse to isolate and exclude yourself.
Although you may feel that this is your way of life and it has become part of your routine, it doesn't have to be. It doesn't have to turn that way. You can stop the cycle that seems never ending.I know exactly what you're going through. After 3 suicide attempts and continuous cutting. I still have managed to prevail and stop. To push forward and make my life seem just a little bit better. To be more optimistic and to try to find the best even in the worst circumstances.
I really hope that you see that this is all in your control and you can stop. Don't ever let this addiction take over your life like it has so many others. I know you can. If you ever need someone to talk to I'm always here shoot me a VM anytime.
