I've been playing Alan Wake for the past 2 days and I have found it to be amazing. It has some problems but overall this game has an amazing story and experience to be seen.
Has anyone else here played it?
If you have what are your thoughts on the game?
I haven't finished it yet so don't spoil the ending for me!

from gameplay videos i was quite disapointed, i thought it was going to be a pshycological thriller type thing, an Xbox rival to Heavy rain or something. but when i seen him running from supernatural crap, i dunno it just looked weird.....

i know i just always thought that they where bringing it out as a sort of Xbox similarity like Killzone and Halo or whatever...

How would you think Alan Wake would be like Heavy Rain? One's a third person shooter and the other is I have no idea, lol.
I want to play Alan Wake because it looks amazing, but y'know, I haven't gotten around to renting it or buying it because I don't have money. Actually, I wouldn't buy it because there is no multiplayer and not a lot of replayability.

I've got the same problem as Jake.
I go on xbox mostly to play with my friends on heavily multiplayer games, a game has to be pretty damn amazing for me to buy it if it doesn't have multiplayer. Assassins creed 2 was one of those very few games.
I'm not too sure.
I do think it looks good and I think I might borrow it just to try it out, buying it is another thing altogether though - I don't see the point in paying £40 for a game that I might play through entirely about 3 times. I think that it's a waste of money.

i know it was a very vague similarity but i mean it as in it's both consoles having a go at action thrillers if you kind of get what i'm saying :)
