Ok so ya in most classes I have the ability to pull off A's with minimal to no work. I'm taking all honors classes too and well I lack any focus. If I'm good at something I don't need to study for it at all, which is any science or maths courses, (in fact i'll nerdishly admit I love to do maths equations in my spare time.) anything where the subject is logical. Its in irish and French that i struggle, translating and speaking is easy but to actually sit down and learn the grammar rules and tenses is beyond me. I procrastinate too easily.
Does anyone have any tips to help with this?

Laura, study, even if you think you know it all. Todays Chemistry exam is case and point. Stuff that has one or two lines in the book came up. Study it all and don't get cocky. Just sit down, and learn the work. No other way to do it.

Have you placing yourself in an environment with minimal to no distractions? In a quiet place, like a library, with phones, computers, iPods, and the like out of immediate reach. It's all about calming the mind down and gathering its usually scattered fragments together - and there are many different ways to attain this, aside from the most crucial aspect of being in an atmosphere where inner calm and order can be reached. It doesn't even have to explicitly be a quiet place of learning, just somewhere where the usual business of the mind has less of a hold upon you. Having a cup of coffee or some other hot drink tends to help me settle down as well.
Experiment with different ideas. Find an approach that suits you.

Michael that may have came off wrong what i mean is when i read those one or two lines or hear them once in class i never forget them. Revision in those subjects is just rereading what i know
I may try sitting down with a cup of coffee maymay but thing is there was always one place i could sit down and study. You know the place that was desecrated hun. Ugh i needed that place

ugh. I have that problem too no worries.
As counter-productive as this sounds, having a distraction actually seems to help
I prefer music, but any form of multi-tasking while doing homework actually seems to help it get *done*
Since I can't consentrate on the same task for more than 5-10 minutes, I'll go side-track for another 5-10 and then go back to the work.
I dunno, most people can't do this, but it's a thought if the 'absolute solitude and quiet" doesn't work
