Once upon a time there was a rich prince
He lived in a kingdom that gave him all that he wished
This prince was simply stunning, beautiful you know
He marched around the streets as though eyes should wonder so
To this prince upon his beauty, a sore no eye should keep
Arrogant and simple a mind inside that crown
Stalking down his streets all day he came upon a find
A boy who mirrors his beauty untamed, left without a dime
This poor boy caught prince’s eye, strange a twin it seems
Without the dirt and rags in pieces, these two would make a team
Prince could wonder, oh he did, if a chance had come at time
To make a fuss of the kingdom’s bus, oh what a silly crime
Prince and boy met right then, changed looks to see
If prince could be and boy may flee, to a sight of such unknown
A difference hid inside their heart, not that souls could see
For prince and boy both had beauty, but minds of wide decree
Prince had pride, he showed it well. Boy had not a head to swell
Boy, while beauty laid his eye, was wise and kind to all who cry
To a joke these two had flown, to see the town confuse the thrown
Yet in his stride prince could not hide, the town had known it was his chide
However, boy, how soft he walked, was new to kingdom’s mind
So town, they came, and changed their minds, a joke was theirs to play
The took the prince and stripped him down, to rags that lived upon the ground
To boy they gave the charms and gems, to send the castle a new good man
Today they praise on boy the prince, a kingdom so happy in new absence
Of the pride that stalked their streets today, sat on the step with none a pay
Boy the prince, kind and smart, knew that kingdom had made a remark
About the price that ignorance takes for bliss, but life was not made to be missed
Boy the prince road to the streets, and found prince beggar upon his feet
Now prince knows a story that’s knew, Ignorance is bliss, but bliss is untrue
He lived in a kingdom that gave him all that he wished
This prince was simply stunning, beautiful you know
