Singer Vanessa Carlton, best known for her hits “A Thousand Miles” and “Ordinary Day,” came out as bisexual during a performance on stage at Nashville Pride over the weekend. Before launching into her song “Who’s to Say,” Carlton announced, “I’ve never said this before but, while we’re here and living out loud as we should every single day, I, myself, am a proud bisexual woman.”

No because it's usually assumed that you are straight. I'm pretty sure if Ellen Degenerous said that she's not really gay and is actually straight it would be in the news.

You can't always be sure of that. Besides, as others have mentioned, it's hardly interesting for news, is it?

I mean it's interesting that the OP has mentioned that this news is out, mainly because of how uninteresting the news is, if you see what i mean.
