We already have a Beatles, Metallica and Ozzy thread, so why not PINK FLOYD? Prog rock doesn't get much better!
Album: Animals
Song: "Echoes" (23 minutes of awesome, especially with the 2001: A Space Odyssey ending scene played to it!)

Fuckin' A man, fuckin' A. Nice choice with Animals, but I'll counter you with Atom Heart Mother and The Final Cut. Too many favorites to name, but I'll go with you and say "Echoes". The epitome of Gilmour/Wright collaborations.

Ha, thanks. Echoes is an amazing song, and I do listen to the entire thing (even the weird "underwater" noises in the middle, which goes on for like 5 minutes). I only have Meddle through The Wall, not the early albums or the Final Cut. Well, now I have some new music to download, I guess.

Get the Syd Barrett albums. The sheer guitar playing on "Interstellar Overdrive" and "Astronomy Domine" are fucking mind blowing. What about solo members of Pink Floyd? I suspect you must at least listen to something from David Gilmour.

Nah, you guessed wrong. I don't have any solo music, I have heard some of Glimour's work... but that was a while ago.

Gilmour's best album, without a doubt, is "About Face". Waters' would definitely be "Amused to Death". Rick Wright had one solo album (that I know of) called "Wet Dream". It's pretty much an almost unknown album, but it's very good.

Favorite Album: Dark Side of the Moon (I know...stereotypical)
Favorite Song: Dogs

I've been spamming everyone with the "Echoes" song on VT when someone brings up Pink Floyd. I guess it finally worked.

Live in Gdansk album is fucking epic. And I'm pretty sure that "On An Island" has always been better then About Face, in my opinion.
Is it just me or is Gilmour obsessed with the color blue in his songs?

"On an Island" is second best. I always found "About Face" to be better. The song that Pete Townsend helped write ("Let's Get Metaphysical"), is fucking epic. Live in Gdansk? Better than Pulse.
