since my high school was lame and had no open gay guys whatsever, i got sick of it and joined something of a social networking sites for LGBT sort of thing
well i met this guy that lives around the town and we are about the same age and stuff and we started to get talking
well the thing is, he asked me if i text... so i guess he's implying that we should exchange numbers?
but i dont know because im not sure about just giving my number to someone i never met in real life and all you know? but then just talking over the internet wouldnt really bring anything further than just chit chatting... so i dont know whether to exchange numbers or not??

well, why don't you give it a go? giving out your number isn't that dangerous as it could be meeting in person right away...

Have you chatted on cam or something to be sure he is who he says he is? That would be a good idea too.

I'm always very cautious of who I talk to on the internet because anybody can be anybody. Make sure that you get to know this guy first. Talk to him and learn things about him.

You should maybe talk to him on skype or cam with him. Just get to know him better.
If you give him your number and he turns out to be a creep the only way to get rid of him is to block his number through the company. It's just better to get to know the person better.

If I'm going to meet a stranger from the internet in real-time because we like each other, I like to be safe, so use Skype or even MSN with a webcam. Don't give out your phone number because it makes you very vulnerable to many things this guy may want, which is particularly bad if he develops an obsession with you.
