I am 15 1/2 and I started my period last year in march 09. It didn't regulate until november 09 but now comes monthly. When it regulated it also got ALOT heavier... I bleed for 7 days and it is very heavy and clumpy (blood clots) (Not really a cramper though) Anyways, I got it June 15th and I noticed it was lighter & now it is almost done in only 4 ish days.... Is my period just changing like regulating to a flow type or does this mean that next month will but super heavy. Thanks for any help. :) Do periods normally do this type of thing????

It may or it may not he heavier next month, periods are weird like that. It's normal to go from super heavy and lasting to days to being light and lasting a few days, i know I myself have that sort of period. Irregularity is probably the problem here, while usually it's with periods not being the same time each month, it can be the same for it being heavy and not. It varies as out bodies develop, though there's nothing to worry about I suggest if you're really worried that you see a doctor, they'll give you help reguarding your period and advice on how it may change in the next few years

It does not necessarily mean you will defiantly have a heavy period next time, It will change from time to time. It probably won't effect the length either, mine seem to differ a lot and I see little patten in them.

My friend has strange periods as well. They tend to come everyother month or sometimes every month and that is without her being on the pill. But, when she does get them, they are very light. While I tend to have the same pattern; Bleed heavily, cramp horridly, and last for 5-7 days. It just goes to show you that they are very different for everyone and that you're probably normal even though you're period isn't.

hope that helped a little. :]
