Ok Is this normal?

I have this nightmare where I can't hear my own voice. I like scream and can't hear it. Plus I can't move my own body. This Happened lastnight.

Nightmares can be very intense and really terrifying, I'm not sure that there's anything you can do about it. I've had nightmares before where I couldnt move and where I became desperate to move to wake myself out of it. Woke up in a real sweat and a panic. I guess its pretty much anything goes when it comes to nightmares.

I have a similar one to this. I dream i've woken up, im completely aware of whats going on around me, but i can't talk or move. Yet i feel as though im awake. I usually break whatever this is by concentrating more on waking up, than trying to talk/scream/move.

If you think about it; Screaming but can't hear your words, cannot move your body? Your trapped. Something is trapped in your mind. Don't see this as a nightmare; this is your subconious mind telling you something. Is there something you've been trying to tell someone but unable to tell them? Do you have feelings about someone you are trying to hide? It may be something very simple and if you feel your able to think about the dream further and relate it to your reality it may indeed help.

Hope that helps :)

Everyone awakens multiple times each night. Usually fall back to sleep on their own. Children often experience repeated night awakening after a move, an illness, or another stressful event. Sleeping problems may be worsened when children take long naps late in the afternoon or are overstimulated by playing before bedtime. Instead of the relaxed retirement we had hoped for, we ended up with a catalogue of disasters. We've hardly had a moment's peace so far.
