The New VT

Here is my idea for the new VT:
Okay so Josh decided to split Puberty into 3 forums. I agree, but the names need to go. It's should be:
Puberty General, Puberty Boys, and Puberty Girls.
I suggest we have three mods that can mod those three forums. Two of the origninal puberty mods, then a female puberty mod (who could it be?).

For General Discussions, is suggest we have 4 moderators that can mod any of those forums, just general mods. The forums for general discussion: Introductions, WPR, Tech Junkies, Creative Writing, Relationships and Debate.

For the phyciatric ward: Mental Illnesses (would include Add/adhd,bipolar,schizo,ocd, and other mental illness), then Self Harm, then Depression, meds, mental crisis, drug abuse, then eating disorders, and finally VT General Hospital. Maybe 2-3 mods for those.

Then VT HQ: VT HQ (job openings sub forum), suggestions, affliates,then chat.

Then I suggest we get a new page (kinda like govteen) for diaries.

Also when I say mods, I mean ACTIVE mods, not mods that leave or don't show up for months at a time.

Tell me If you see any mistakes, but please don't bash me for my idea.

we split the boys of puberty section into both like 2 in general and to in boy puberty

and we get to girls to run the girls puberty section

im saying we take 2 out of the 4 and move them to boys puberty forum because they are all boys

leaving us with 2 in the origanal, 2 inthe boys and 0 in the girls

all we need is 2 girls to mod the girls forum and we would be all set with mods in the puberty forum

And Bobby, I completely agree with you on the Moderator part. We do have a long way to go...I suggest that before making huge decisions we should get the Psychiatric Ward back on top (if we're still going with that idea) and restore some of the diaries.

Then we should bring back the name-change sticky as well, and talk to the Admins about that horrible chatbot...for that he should go into another chatroom and we can visit him any time we want, but we really shouldn't be forced to create another temporary room so we can get rid of that chatbot :P

Then we should get rid of the triple link on top of the Forever Blue format.

That's my opinion anyway :P

no i beleive 2 per forum is good because if one is gone and there is porn or somthing along the lines of bad sombody needs to be around to take care of it

Although, what about time zones? I remember reading somewhere on VT (when I was 12 and a guest) that we had three mods...one in the GMT +5 timezone, the +6, +7 and +8 timezone. Of course, half of our moderating team is inactive and I think some should be emailed and asked if they want their position to stay. There should be some guidelines, such as how much you actually post a moderate the forums...

Now for mods in the puberty forum, I think we should have the following (only based on my opinion of course :P)


1-2 female puberty mods (girls puberty and general)
2 male puberty mods (boys puberty and general)
A possibility of an additional moderator who can moderate all forums of the parent forum 'Puberty101'

Maybe it could be a general question forum, such as questions from girls to boys and boys to girls, or other things...or, it can be similar to Govteen and have a page of stickies :D

Although, I would just like to see how this plays out for now, like Josh said :)

Agreed. I think we should work out the bugs and the kinks of the board first, and arrange the forums like we want. I noticed 'This Week in The News' is above the Diary HQ :P

There's several little things we need to get worked out before dealing with moderators. But one thing stands for sure: There are too many mods! {End of that for now hopefully O_o}

Theres way to many forums as is this site isnt supposed to be about puberty period that one forum was built as a way to contain the spam nothing more

I'm sorry Cody, but I'm going to have to dissagree with you there :| It's true that the site isn't all about puberty, but puberty is part of being a teen. Even if you know all or don't want to know about puberty, you've gone through it as well, and alot of people are struggling. I personally do not think it's spam, as people are getting helped...and, as Josh said, although I can't directly quote him:

VT is about helping people.

Welcome to Virtualteen, the Psyciatric Ward. We're here to help, about any teen problems...not underage, not overage, nobody over 20, nobody under 13.

Alot of people think I spam, and I know alot of senior members such as yourself don't like me because I get my head into the big topics and post around in the Puberty forum. I tell you what, I give my opinion, and I help those people who need help. I don't spam, I commiserate and talk with others. I help people who don't know a clue about Puberty. I do the best to be my all for this site, and I know I'm never going to be an Admin. Believe me, I don't want to be.

I just don't want you to think that the forum that I care about so much is just pure spam...I work hard on those posts and try to help people, and I don't want to be disliked because of that.

I hope this 'dramatic' post doesn't start any arguments...I think it should just stand here, as a post and an opinion :hmm:
