Thats a good song, right? lol, See I had this friend a grade ahead of me, we really were great friends when I was in 7th, and he was in 8th grade. Then last year, when I was in 8th, whenever people kept telling me "he's a jerk," or stuff like that, I would always respond with things like no he's not, you don't know that, you just heard it, kind of thing. Then this year, I tried to strike a conversation, you know, just try to hang out again, and he either totally ignores me or says "whatever" kind of, and walks off. It makes me wonder if everybody was right, and I was defending him for nothing, that he really is just a jerk... Just wondering what I should do, thanks,

Sincerely,

Tyler

I say you should try to talk to him and ask him what's wrong. Honestly, I think he knows people say he's a jerk and he thinks you're the one saying all those things because you knew him. Or maybe his life is not going very well.

Don't make false assumptions, because you might end up losing a friend, okay?

Good luck :)

It sounds like he can use a friend and you seem to fit that bill. Don’t be too hasty with dumping him as a friend. My guess is if you haven’t hung out in a while maybe he is not really sure if you are one of the people talking about him or not.

Try and talk to him. Don't leave it too long, that could only make things worse. If you he doesn't want to speak to you face to face for any reason, talk to him through text, phone call, Facebook, MSN anything. But talk to him, don't push it too much but he could just really need a friend. It's not nice needing one of your friends and there's no one there for you, trust me I know, but if you do talk to him then it shows you do still care and it'll make your friendship stronger.

Hope everything works out well :)
