undescended testicle?

today one of my mates told me that he has an undescended testicle (i think that's what it's called)...basically one of his balls hasnt dropped. Does this mean that that testicle doesnt work?

He said he could get it dropped in the hospital if he wanted...what would you guys do? Personally i probably would get it fixed

yeah, i'd go see a doctor. if anything, just to make sure it won't cause any health problems in the future

That is completely incorrect, dangerous misinformation I would say.

The idea that your balls drop during puberty is a common myth. Most baby boys are born with their testicles already in the scrotum and in almost all of the remaining boys their testicles will descend before the age of 1.

Undescended testicles in older boys should always be refered to a doctor, there is an increased risk of testicular cancer and of infertility.

Dont mess with it, get it checked out.

The descent and drop of testicles is the same thing.
And yes he needs to get it pulled down.
