Their older stuff was better to be honest (and by older, I mean everything BEFORE they became real big hit makers, ie their jazz/rock fusion days). The only album by Journey I can never fully listen to is "Raised on Radio". There's something on that album that doesn't have me click with it. But their last album with Steve Perry is pretty good. I don't like them now, they seem to really become a huge cash cow. Plus their new singer isn't all that great to be honest. But still, I like them.

i love 80's rock: Toto Guns & roses Aerosmyth and especially Journey and i was so pissed off when Glee did their faggitty cover of it, raising awareness with stupid pop culture.

Dude I agree whole heartily, they have ruined quite a few songs, especially Bon Jovi. I don't care if it's "old" whatever you want to call it. It's a classic and should be left for the classics to do not some high school clown group.
Anyway to get on topic, Journey was pretty awesome. I saw them in concert 2 years ago with cheap trick and heart. Journey just isn't the same without Steve Perry. 80's FTW

I really don't like them and the Glee covers are way better than the original.

I never heard of them before Glee... That might have something to do with my mission to Mars, though. No internet or anything there...
I'm getting into them now though because of Glee... and other 80's artists I'd never really heard of. Thank you Glee. I also think Glee's version of Don't Stop Believing is better than the orginal - The original was good, but glee ... It just sounds better... :/

That's bull. The originals are good because of one reason: THEY ARE ORIGINAL. Glee just copies them and makes them sound "fresh" and "hip". Covers aren't original, they aren't creative, they are simply made to polish the song. How one can find that a cover is better than the original is beyond me. Are there covers out there that sound good? Yes. But do they really go to the heights and popularity of the actual original song by the ORIGINAL artist? No, no matter how popular they are, they will never be the same. The originals always have something a cover doesn't have, and that is originality and creativity.

Covers do have creativity when they add something to it. It's just my opinion that the Glee covers are better you might not like it but oh well.

It's not that I don't like all covers, but just the way Glee just completely ruins songs just bug me. I don't like how there is a whole group singing it. I think classics should remain classics. I think Glee should have originals instead of always doing covers.

It's not creative to add one or two more singers to a song. What IS creative is to make your own material. If Glee were to not cover songs and to make them all up, I wouldn't have a problem. I just don't like song covers, Glee epitomizes that.

Then they should air that one instead of the one with the covers.-_-

I like covers, especially when they're more... fun and different than the original. It may not be better, it's always hard to top an original... but some of them can actually work when done well. And tastefully, not just cruddy quick work.

The 80s rocked. End of story. Also to all who mentioned Bon Jovi, I love you. Bon Jovi is the best music that I have ever heard in my life. Saw them twice in concert, and for lack of better words, both 2.5 hour shows were nothing but a pure musicgasm.
And I never liked Glee before, but when I heard what they did to It's My Life, I wanted to track them down and kill them with an axe.

I LOVE Journey!! I grew up in a household that almost always had Journey music playing haha. Their new stuff is okay, definitely not as good as their older stuff though.
