if you can make things smaller than they need to be then do it, saves money on materials and lowers price for buyers

Fuck you Microsoft. >.< All 360 owners should be given a full refund. I bought my Xbox 360 Pro (20 GB, shitty console) two years ago for $350 I think. Might have been $300. Still means I spent the same amount of money on just this console, than I could have if I waited 2 years. ALSO the $100 wireless adapter. Hmm.. So I spent $400 on mine, and NOW I can get a better one for $300. More hard drive space, smaller, quieter, and probably gonna end up having less hardware issues. I'm still gonna keep my 360 for now. Knowing Microsoft, the 360 slim will drop down to about 250 in about a half a year... Or a better one will come out in that time.

Meh.
I'm not interested in the slightest.
I don't see why so many people complain about the current xbox.
I bought an arcade about 18 month ago and it's perfectly fine. Sure, it makes some noise and it lags a bit some times. But what console doesn't.
I'll probably still end up getting one, not any time soon though. Maybe Christmas, my good old arcade is still fine and hopefully will be for a while yet.

Likely simulated. If you recall, the Wii had perfect commercials too; however, it didn't always work so easy once you tried it. There are a lot of issues with the Wii's motion controller, and likely the same will be so, if not worse, with the 360's due to the lack of controller.

For those who think Kinect won't be as responsive as the commercial makes it look.
Here's Kinect tracking 3 people dancing in the game Dance Central.

That happens with ALL 360 models. Nothing really new here.
They just keep choosing drives that happen to have screws that stick up really close to the disks. :p

Heh, at least they're sticking labels on it now to not move the 360 while it's on.
Ours never got one of those stickers, and we found out the hard way not to move it while it was on. Ate our GH2 disk. :/

When I got my 360, it said it somewhere(I have no idea where. Possibly the handbook, but I don't remember.) not to move it.

Wow. I tried to return my Elite but I don't have the receipt. >.<
Heres my plan:
Im gonna go and buy a xbox slim. Then when I get home Im going to switch the serial numbers on the xbox and the box
Then Im going to put my Elite in the xbox slim box, and keep the Slim.
Then Im going to go back to Gamestop and return it and say that the wrong system was in it
Bam, get my money back. My Elite is new too, no more than a month old. So its in perfect condition
I did this with my PS2 when it broke, except it was the same system. Doing it with different systems might be harder.

why do you need the receipt? can you not just trade it in at a Gamestop or something?
and on the failure rate, even though they have largely fixed ventilation problems i'm sure there is a small red ring rate to the new consoles as it is with the ps3 slims against the 0.5% problems of YOD with origional ps3's

Trading it in would result in a lot less cash than trying to return it.

There are videos that show people who don't know how to use it use it. It's alot better than the Wii in response and accuracy, it also has depth detection.

Might buy it but I'd have to sell my old Xbox 360 and really other than it having more space....a lot more space, there's nothing really being improved. You still have to buy Kinect separately so that doesn't change anything and why the hell would you need more USB ports? Most people have wireless controllers. Other than it being a good deal, nothing improved to me.

Eh I guess mine is somewhat loud but not loud enough to bother me seeing as how I'm focusing on quick scoping someone on MW2 :) I mean the only thing that I don't have is HDMI since I don't have an Elite but there isn't that much difference between that and HD.

Yeah like my 360 got the red ring of death and they replaced my xbox 360 which I guess was cool and it was also free but still lol they shouldn't have had to do that in the first place.

I'm guessing you bought one and you meant it didn't come with an HDMI cable? lol

I was thinking of getting it, but honestly it would do me no good. I don't need wifi I could use ethernet especially considering how unreliable my wifi is. I don't need 250 gb worth of space since I'll only be using it for gaming and watching movies through windows media center extended. So I really don't have any need for any of the extra stuff and I can save $125 buy getting one from gamestop.

No its not out in the UK yet. I mean its not coming with one in the box. Which is stupid at this point. I have about six HDMI cables round here anyway, but for someone who doesn't, their gonna be disappointed.

Yeah, because without HD, games are pointless. I didn't get caught up in this HD fad. It doesn't make a difference to me since my tv is nineteen inches, and on my old t.v.(which is same model), lost the ability to transmit sound a couple of days after I switched to HD.

You realize hardly anything ships with an HDMI cable, right?
The PS3 doesn't ship with one either.
Why should the Xbox?
Besides. If you were smart, you'd read the damn box and see that an HDMI cable isn't listed, then buy the separate one.
HillBillyWilly
June 19th, 2010, 10:34 PM
Unfortunatley, i will not be able to convince my family to buy one until maybe Christmas. I want it quite badly. Or until the whole Kinect thing becomes big and you'll have to buy one of those to be able to play new video games.
