iv'e just ''come out of the closet'' so to speak with my close family and friends about my SH. And i'm new to this kind of thing on here, so i guess i'm taking those first steps but its hard and i'm worried will they (meaning my friends and fam) be okay coping, i know they can never really understand so its hard to talk to them. i just don't want to hurt anyone else :(

that's good, well done! :D you're right, it's the first step to recovering.
i know it might be hard for them, but if they love you, which i'm sure they do, they'll try to help you and get you through this, so just explain to them how you feel, and tell them you dont want to hurt them, you just want some help dealing with it, and i'm sure they'll try and understand and be there for you the whole way through.
well done and good luck :D x

Exacatly, it is so good that you are recovering and really good!
I actually don't think that they will need to cope as much as your thinking as they know that you are doing the best thing!
Good luck!

I suppose that you can sit them down and just answer questions for them.
Then they know all of the details. It may put their minds to rest.
We all know that you will stop one day as well! :) x

Congradulations on being so brave :)
One day, I hope I can do the same <3, you're an inspiration :)
I know how you feel about not hurting them, but really keeping it all to yourself and suffering alone while you have people who care about you, will hurt them more once they know, so atleast you're on your way to building your life back up and your friends and family will be there to support you :)
