so there is this girl at school. she has scars on her ankle clearly self harm... we aren't friends.. but i was thinking maybe i should start talking to her. because i've seen other marks on her before, and she is a druggie.. and wel she needs help. i was thinking maybe i could help her.. in a i'll be there for you sort of way.. bt isit a ood idea to get involved?

I'd say reaching out isn't a bad thing, but you have to be careful. Don't end up involved in her problems.

Reach out if you're sure. But don't reach if you're not 100% sure, as it could lead to a bad situation. Be cautious as well. She might not be eager to talk about it with a practical stranger. She might be rude, she might nasty, she might tell to eff off. But base it upon your judgement. If you think its worth a try, then go for it.

Ok ii know this kinda is going against what people are saying but.. honestly if someone had reached out to me instead of taking the piss out of me (not saying that yu do, but yano waht ii mean) ii wouldnt be in the situation ii am in know.
if yu want to and feel comfortable reaching out to this girl, then, honestly do it.
yu could be showing this girl that somebody actually cares. =]

I don't know if this is too late but you said that she is a druggie.
I haven't met her but I know some druggies.
They self harm because they are high all the time.
So they might take drugs because there is some problems deeper down but you have to be totally sure of the situation.
And also what if you approach her, tell her about your self harm and she tells everyone.
Look as I said, I don't know her but tbh, I would stay away.
If she needed help and someone to reach out to her, she would have done it by now.
