I went there awhile ago....I went because I was cutting myself. I stopped for about two weeks, but a couple days ago I cut myself again. Should I go back? It didnt help me the first time...

Moved from mental crisis to --> cutting and self harm as i believe it's more fitting

Well, if you feel it didn't help you the first time then it probably won't help you a second time. This might be mainly because of your attitude towards the hospital. When you enter something thinking the worse then it is almost always going to turn out badly.

However, you are lucky to even get the chance to go there. It must be still there because it has helped people in the past and you do have an illness. It's strange to think about it but our primal instincts is to protects ourselves but self harmer's go against that. Seem's insane, right? So, the hospital could be what you need.
People do get over self injury without going into mental hospitals so it's not vital in overcoming the addiction

So here is my advice-
Try to defeat the addiction at home with friends and family around you. However, if you relapse frequently then you should ask an adult about the possibility of becoming a patient again.

I wish you all the best. Remember that there are many friendly people are here on VT if you ever need to talk about your problems.

Take care,
Sarah

Well, either change your outlook on it and try to enter the hospital with a clean slate or try to overcome self injury by yourself for the moment. However, if you keep cutting frequently then it might be an idea to discuss it with and adult and get emitted again.

Any clearer? :)

Look, to be honest ii wish there was a place like that where ii could go. If they will help you then defo go, but hun, if they only make yu feel worse then dont.

I hold a rather dim view of institutions. I believe you'd be a lot better off fighting this problem on your own. Look to your support networks, both where you live and here on VT. If, after you've made an effort on your own, you really can't stop cutting, then it might be time to consider admitting yourself.

If you didn't feel they helped on your first visit, then its less likely they'll be able to help you on your second. I imagine it'd be far more helpful to, as Alex said, to fight this with the help of your support network(if you have one), with your friends, parents, family, counsellors, psychiatrists, and so forth.
