ok. there is a live performance of the spice girls at london singing mama. yes i love the spice girls. and in the beginning, it starts out with a jingle then to violins. i would put it that way. here is the vid:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFM0ybBPNmU

start at 20 seconds and stop at 1:21.

i have taken that part of the vid and converted to an mp3 the uploaded the mp3 to a ringtone sight thats free and just made that time scale. all i have is that part of it.

now, what i am asking is, is it possible to manipulate it and wipe out all of the background noise (the people cheering and all) so i can only hear the instruments and the sounds of the girls. listen closely and you will hear girls screaming or having fun. (its suppose to remind you of when you were a kid and had lots of fun and how your mom was always there.)

the reason why i am asking is that i want to make a video for something and that would go perfect, but you have the roaring cheers and clapping in the background that i dont want.

please respond soon. thanks

if it is not against the rules, i can upload the short clip to a file hosting site so you can see what part it is and what i want gone. if its not against the rules, please tell me. thanks

While it's generally not possible to entirely get the background noise out (There will still be audio artifacts that are simply impossible to remove without risking damaging the audio you wish to save), it is possible to make it largely disappear.
You just have to isolate the frequencies that the unwanted background noise resides on (Without bleeding into the audio you wish to keep), then truncate the isolated audio from the audio clip.

The steps to take really depends on what program you're using. (Tip: Search for 'Audio Splitting Tutorial')

And almost any audio editing program should suffice (Audacity, Adobe Audition, ect).
