Okay, probably doesnt belong here.. Move if nessesary

My hair straightener, its pretty old, and its starting to get that burnt hair smell, like whenever it heats up.. Does anyone know how to get rid of that.. Its really annoying :mad:

I don't think you can really do anything for that. ><
It may just get that smell because it's old.
Probably won't hurt your hair more than it is, because a flat-iron already does that.

sometimes if you clean it it goes away. like if you've coloured hair you need to clean it or it gets that smell

Ive never colored my hair :(... Is there like a certain product i should use to clean it?

You can just wipe down the straightener with a damp cloth, but please make sure it's off first :P

It's best to get a new one instead because It might just popped on you. Mine broke while I was using it, the outlet where I plugged my flat iron exploded on me. It's cool to have new one though and safe too.
