I have never fingered anyone's anus... let alone my own but I have had anal sex with girls a few times and I used lube similar to KY jelly (I lubed up the rim of their hole and my penis, so if you do use lube you should lube up your finger and your hole).. whatever lube you use make sure it is safe for anal lubrication. Spit seems like a common answer so just go with that, use saliva.
