What are your thoughts on incestuous relationships? Hmmm?

Also, as I don't want this turning into a debate on whether the effects of inbreeding can cause mental illness or physical disfigurations, let me specify a certain type of couple to debate on.

Say a brother/brother or cousin/cousin(both males) have a homosexual relationship, and both are of legal age to do so. In your opinion, is it accetpable? Why or why not?

Cousin/cousin sex would be legal and not regarded as incest in many countries in the world and is also not regarded as incest in many of the states of the USA. In fact its the norm in some communities and ethnic groups.

If two brothers had a gay relationship I would regard it as kinda wierd and sad for them but wouldnt see that it was doing anybody any harm.

I don't find anything morally wrong with incest so long as children are kept out of it.

That is just strange. Wouldn`t it be weird if you met someone and said " Meet my wife, she`s my cousin!"?

I find nothing wrong with incest as long as there is no chance of a baby coming out of it.
Brother-Sister= ok as long as there is protection
brother-brother= ok
cousin- cousin= ok (protetion if one is woman)
mother-son and father-daughter= weird as hell
father-son, mother-daughter= ok

As long as it's not a straight relationship and they don't consider themselves 'dating', then I'm fine with it.

Nothing wrong with it as long as pedophilia is kept out.

Why? That's horribly stuck-up.

If love can exist between any two people, (or even more, I support polygamous relationships if it makes everyone happy) then I think any incestuous relationship is okay. It's out of the ordinary and considered taboo in our society, but I couldn't care less what other people do. As long as no one's getting hurt or forced, I have no objection.

Mutations that result from inbreeding only occurs when each partner has the same mutation and their offspring would have a mutated gene from each parent. If there's no mutation present, then their child would have about the same risk of a mutation as a non-incestuous offspring.

In Canadian law incest falls under mala in se, meaning it's considered illegal because it's so horrible and pervese act against natural law. I find it very odd and am a bit conflicted with my stand on it. On one hand, there's the view of if it's natural love for each other than who is to say otherwise. On the other hand, as long as no harm results, it's truly consentual, no acts of pedophilia or sex due to one/both partners being too intoxicated. If one or both are unable to understand how they have harmed the other if they have, then I'm also against it. Also, if one partner uses their family status of authority to gain access, such as father with sister or aunt with brother, where the sister and brother are minors. It could also tear apart family ties even if legal because if you introduce to your family or the family gets introduced to you that your partner is your brother, sister, first cousin, etc... . I view it as probably the hardest relationship for someone to come to terms with in that if others who are not intended to find out do find out, society will look at you with a complete negative view, more negative if a baby is produced or the partner was unwilling.
