Thats because those guys are measuring with their imagination.

The standard way to measure is by laying a ruler along the top of your erect penis. It must be along the top, you'll get a different answer if you measure underneath or along the side. Just measure along the top and read off where the tip lines up.

For girth you measure all around the shaft using a tape measure. Dont choose the rim of the glans, thats a false result. If you dont have a tape measure use a piece of string then lay it along a ruler afterwards to read off the result.

It shouldn't matter, as long as you can fit the ruler from the base to the tip, it still is about the right size. However, for the realest measurement, point your penis out so it is perpendicular to your body and measure on the top from the base to the tip.

Either way unrelated and unconstructive.
