i thought that i was ok at covering my cuts and scars up but now that its summer i really dont know how. Last summer i didnt stay with my parents so it was ok as my family i was staying with dont know me as well and so let me wear long sleeves. But my mum starts all these arguments about how she is sick of me wearing long sleeves in the summer. I sometimes wear bangles or wristbands but i dont think i can keep it up much longer :/
does anyone have any ideas on how to cover self injury? thank you for reading xx
ps. My mum dont know about it.

im having the same problem here :/
i just wear longs sleaved and my dads always telling me to take it off.
I cross my arms or carry a jumper around.
can't you cover them up with make up ?
OR what i'm doing is pretend im sick and say i'm cold, that's working for me.

I managed to tell my mum but what I did when I started last summer was spend more time in my room, wore wrist bands, wristlets and those sock gloves ect.

I used to fold my arms all the time and started wearing hoodies more. Tbhwy my mum doesn't really pay attention but she saw a cut on my leg once so I said it was from a thorn bush, oh yeah that was something else I got out of the house as often as possible.

Ideally it would be better to just tell your mum.

Good luck and I hope this helped :) xx

As the other have said, there are a few alternatives to wearing long tops
I'd give the make up idea a try, it might make them less noticeable that way.
And do you think it would help if your mom knew?, she might be able to help you through it.
Hope this helps

i started on my arm for i used to only cut on the thigh
and so its rlly hot here in Illinois and it sucks
but the good thing is that my cuts are on the inside of my elbow so if someone wants to look at me i can fold my arm
just wear a hoodie or big bracelets
and arm warmers

make-ups not a good idea if the cuts are quite new, it makes the scars worse.
like people have said, bracelets, carrying jackets, folding arms, just keeping them out of sight.

Long sleeved black and white t shirts are £2.80 in primark. £3 for grey and navy zip up hoodies. Saved my life last summer.

Try wearing light coloured shirts over t-shirts. This way you look summery (and not suspicious :P) While still wearing long sleeves! I have an excuse because i have some syndrome thing that means i'm always cold anyway so my paretns don't find it too suspicious :/ But yeah make up on old scars helps :/
