Dream Cloud Angels

An elephant, a dog, maybe a frog
Up in the sky so cotton candy like
Are white fluffy clouds we name aloud
As pictures and people of things we dream
These clouds are quite lovely, a beauty to be
With space for the many, like you and like me

Join me now, I’ve grabbed you a spot
We’re angle like people claiming our lot
A cloud is a cloud to those who can’t see
A nightmare is different from any old dream

Look! Down beyond our halo lit view
Grey crowds await the rain will come
From dreamless storm clouds, all without love

But you and I, we can dream
Together sitting on a dream cloud to be
Creating a world where everything lives
To be as it was, to love as it is

My angel, my dreamer, my best friend indeed
This dream cloud is special, to you and to me
Forever we’ll talk, much as we please
No question will walk away from the seams
Of this cotton soft cloud we’ve sewn from our heart

Angels we are, again I will say
Together will sit here, maybe all day
We may not have halos; our wings do not fly
But who needs those things, we dream to the sky
