Leave your contact details on your actual profile. If people wish to add you then they'll find it there.

Yeah, asking members to chat via VMs is not allowed. As others have said, put your contact info on your profile and if others want to IM you they'll know where to find it.

I'm fairly sure that if you want to talk to someone outside of Vt and you have the contact info on your profile. I think it's fine to direct them to your info on your profile.

Id like to point out, its not illegal to ask via VM, but it breaks the site rules. I thought i'd point that out just incase.
