I started reading some of the other threads in this forum and was amazed about all of the technology. I am a big audio book reader and love them a lot. My big thing from reading this do you think audio books (http://www.emusic.com/audiobooks/index.html) will replace books? I think this is a possibility i don't think it will totally replace books but defiantly i think audio books will start to be produced a lot more then a good old fashioned book.

No. If it does, it's going to take forever. Like video to DVD, videos are still floating around. But I don't want it to, I hate them. I'd much rather hear my voice in my head as I read a book, not someone elses. But like everything, they change.

No.
But i do think that books on electronic devices may become more common.
Not take over though. It's nice to have something physical in your hand, and reading text on a backlit screen is hard sometimes

I cant see them replacing books, I have enjoyed listening to a few documentaries in mp3 format in the past however.

I sure as hell hope it doesn't. I can't stand audio books.

defiantly not, i'm a big fan of moving onto the technical age, but there are some things that just cannot be beaten. if you are a regular reader of books then you would know exactly what i mean when i say there is a certain feel to invovling yourself in a novel and you can't really do that by listening to some rather annoying english accented twat blabbering on about a story (which will 9/10 be a Stephen Fry accented person)
