I'm 14 and very hairy. I have hairy legs, arms, armpits, pubic, ass, loads!
The summer is here and its getting really warm and my mam and dad are always like "Put on some shorts." But i dont want to because my dad always says stuff like "You've got really hairy legs." and my sister hates anysort of body hair. They're also telling me to take off my top to get a tan and clear up spots but i dont want them to see my armpit hair and my treasure trail. I'm going on holidays soon and it will be roasting there too! Any advice on what to do?

Get it taken of if it really bothers you

Personally, I would recommend shaving. As a guy it's kind of weird to be all like "Oh yeah I'm going to go shave!" but to be honest, I don't really see anything to be ashamed of by doing so. Of course I wouldn't tell you to shave your legs because that's beyond noticeable, but if you're worried about your chest hair and all of that, then by all means just shave it. Make sure you get everywhere, rather than leaving splotchy pieces of unshaven areas. Other than that, you should be fine. For your armpits: Since your holiday is soon, you could either shave it or just trim it for the time being. Both work rather well - and although the hair will grow back eventually, you can keep shaving if you'd like. Just do it like you would your face.
No one's going to be all like mad at you for having hair on your body; especially since it's normal. Everyone has hair over them - some more than others, or perhaps those with little even shave and we don't notice. Who knows. :P Or you could always go the less time consuming, more painful way and get waxed. But that could hurt a lot. :P

dude u really shouldnt be embaresed at all. u are into puberty which is
what ya want. and if it really bothers u so much u can shave or at least
trim it down. alot of boys would love to have what u do because they are
still waiting for it. u should be happy though.

To be honest I would just let them see it. You're 14 and going through puberty, its nothing to be ashamed of, let them see you are becoming a man. If your dad makes comments that are embarassing then tell him its embarassing and ask him to stop.

Try not to be embarrassed. Being hairy is just the way it is with you. There's not a thing wrong with that. It's not worth worrying about it and doing a bunch of stuff for the rest of your life to get rid of hair. It's just too much effort dude.

Well I'm just like you, actually. I'm 14, and I have hair everywhere you described, and I have a bit of chest and back hair. My family (and pretty much everyone else) has always made fun of it relentlessly. Although I know if I shaved, they'd just make fun of that more.
So here's what you can do: The easy thing to do is leave it and ignore their comments. You could also shave, and hope they won't make fun of that. Or you could just ask them nicely not to make fun beforehand, so they know it would offend you. Best of luck :)

Sorry to say shaving is only going to be a temporary solution :(
Sorry man. Maybe talk to your parents on a better hair removal option?

It's not a big deal. If you shave it will only be a temporary solution. Body hair means you are growing up. Some people have a lot of body hair and some dont.
Who cares what your sister thinks. 50% of girls say they like body hair. And as for guys they probably wish they had some.

When I was your age having hair was seen as a good thing, it was a concern if you had hardly any. If you hate it that much shave regularly or perhaps see someone about proper and more permanent removal.

im like that too, my parents do the exact same thing and i get really embarrassed over it, but after i think about it im ok with it. I just think that it happens to everyone and not just me and that there is nothing to be embarrassed about, everyone has got to go through with it in there lives. Also there are many people who want hair! All the hair just shows your turning into a man :)

I don't shave any of my hair except for the hair on my face, but now that it's summer and I don't really see any people I don't do that much now, Hahaha...
I don't shave any of it because I have no reason to. Screw what other people say I look like, only my closest friends see me shirtless usually, and besides, it's natural. I just let nature run its course. But that's just me. No worries, bro.

You can always shave body hair, however it does grow back quickly and can be quite painful sometimes.
I personally do not shave my body hair because my skin is EXTREMELY sensative.
It isn't something you should be afraid of though. Honestly, who cares what your sister thinks :P It's your sister. Embrase the masculinity you are gifted with!
I am similar to you, I had full armpit hair and everything by the time I was 13 and it has slowly progessed. I am not ashamed though. This is the perfect chance to work on your confidence. Just take your shirt off and pretend no one can see you.

Screw your sister man! Do what you want! Bit ya, I don't think it's something to be worried about, like for example, I'd rather deal with that than with acne, and my back looks pretty gnarly when I get a flare, so I would just count my lucky stars and enjoy it...

Im 16 and i had hairy legs and arms and armpits and everything at once to, until i met NAIR lolz. That and a razor for where Nair cant get to. Nair is just a simple hair removal cream, wayy better than shaving in my opinion because u lessen the risk of getting cut

I know they're your family, but you shouldn't care what they think about your body hair. It's totally natural, nothing to be embarrassed about. But if it really does bother you, trim it and/or shave it. But agian,it doesn't really matter what others think, only what you think

No, that is completely false. It won't grow back thicker/darker/hairier. It will grow back completely the same.

Why are you embarrased? Just shows your becoming a man, which is surely what every teenage boy wants to show to people?

Not everyone. I'm 14, and like the OP, I'm extremely hairy. Ever since I was really little, too. And I've constantly been made fun of for it my whole life, by family, friends, and everyone else. Getting hairy isn't as glamorous as people think; if anything it's embarrassing.

This is about more than your body hair. It's about feeling comfortable in your own skin. I suspect even if everything about you were "perfect" you'd still have some insecurities. Why don't you focus on those things... and if your hair is too thick neatly TRIM some spots, you are becoming a man, and that's the best thing to do.

You really shouldn't worry man! I'm hairy as well! Its a natural thing and trust me: guys look better with hair. Guys that shave off their body hair are insecure. Be hairy and be proud. You may get some comments every now and then but just blow them off...

Id recommend trimming it if your really uncomfortable with your body hair. Its not as extreme as shaving it all, yet with the appearance of not actually being excessively hairy. Remember on this is do what your comfortable with and not what every one else expects. Its normal for guys.

Don't be embarrassed. It is perfectly normal for guys to be hairy, with body hair anywhere imaginable. If your parents comment, just laugh it off. And ignore your sister. What are trying to do - impress her? Just be yourself. Don't change unnecessarily for someone else.
