Alright. This is really fucking annoying. I'm using Vista and I cannot disable filter keys. It makes it so it won't accept keystrokes unless I type very slowly and I cannot hold down a button for it to repeat: As in, holding down "r" will only produce "r" and not "rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr". This is fucking annoying me to death.

Yes, I have gone into accessibility options and turned off filter and sticky keys. Yes, I have disabled their shortcuts. Yes, I have the latest drivers for my keyboard. Yes, I've tried turning it off and on again. I've even deleted my whole fucking accessibility registry (after trying to change the flag values to the correct ones I found on another site) and nothing has made any fucking difference. What the fuck can I do, VT? I cannot type like this. I am raging so fucking hard right now.

This might help, I know youve already tried with the registry but really it seems like the only way to do it. Perhaps retry? http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistainstall/thread/a7c9fc02-2d0f-4db6-89fb-e36eca3e2ac7

Re-install vista? Or buy a mac (jokes Tim)

Tried holding down the RIGHT shift button for 8 seconds?
If that don't work, hold down both shifts down at the same time, this should turn it off.

you also have to go to the Settings sub-menu and remove the check-marks there, have you tried that?

also what jack said about holding down the shift keys ALWAYS worked for me on my vista, but now idk about windows 7.

Assuming none of the other common solutions you've found work... reformat. Always the best solution.

Then, make an image of the working, clean, reformatted drive so it won't take as long the next time you need to do it.

Tried. Failed.

Yeah, I figured a while ago this may be my only solution. Doing it tomorrow after I move any important shit to my external drive.
