is it me, or has this site been really helpful? i mean, before i found this site i felt so alone with my self harm. i do have one friend that used to self harm, and when i relapse she lends me her cardigen and i do the same for her, but we aren't really close enough to actually talk about the self harm itself. this site just helped me realise that i really am not alone with this, and there are others going through the same stuff as me. to be honest, if it wasn't for this site, i dont even want to think about how much of a mess i'd be. i probably would have landed myself in hospital by now if it wasn't for this site.

does anyone else think this site has really helped them? i just want to thank whoever created it, and everyone that's shared their stories and stuff on here, because i'd be a total emotional mess without it (well, more of an emotional mess anyways :P). anyone else feel like that?

It's been so helpful. Even though I know a lot of people who used to cut, they don't really talk about it, even the ones who know that I'm struggling with it. It's nice to come here and see people in entirely different countries and stuff that are basically writing my thoughts on these threads....

I get almost all my strenght from this site. I try to quit cutting and this site really help me do it. Here people see me as a human and not as "pathetic". :)

It's wonderful to hear that people have been finding this place helpful. :)

My own experience has been quite insightful in many ways, and most of the personal assistance I receive from being here is indirect. Just having people to talk to every day, and knowing that there's a community of other human beings out there where I can claim to belong - that's more than enough for me.
