So we have a pool at our high school, but not the middle school. Sometimes you get put in periods that some of your class time is shared with the 7th/8th graders in the middle school. So, last week on wednesday, I was getting dressed down for swimming when the middle school group showed up. I knew that this one kid who I am friends with was "checking me out" and it kind of made me uneasy when he got a boner. I'm kinda iffy about hanging with him anymore... What should I do?

To put this simply, you can probably multiply that one person by 10 and that is how many people (that may have been looking) that got hard...so about 10 or more people got hard by you being completely naked.
That may make things more awkward for you, but it's true.
During puberty, straight people do not even know what their body prefers. Or more accurately, their body doesn't know what they prefer. Therefore getting "hard" doesn't mean he was gay nor does it mean he was thinking about you sexually. It just means he is a man in puberty.
I'd continue to talk with him and don't discuss this situation with him. It is absolutely no big deal.
Hope this helps.

OK, good luck.
Don't let things like this be too awkward for you. You may deny it, but when you've been placed in similar situations, similar things have happened to you, too.
It most certainly will help, and I'll talk to him soon. Thanks for helpin out :)

You shouldn't make him feel bad for it. Most guys would have the same reaction to seeing your unit!

He was just curious to compare, its no big deal, just dont mention it. If he makes a habit of it just say "hey, what are you looking at" and he wont do it anymore.

As it has been said before, you should just let it go. It's not a big deal. He could like boys, but you don't need to worry or feel uneasy about anything.
