Well, i'll make it as simple as i can...

Basically, i have just been put onto a new contract for my phone, however, on this contract there is no internet included. So i thought instead of having to buy the internet i thought i would get a phone with Wi-Fi enabled. I currently have the Samsung S5230 and the Samsung S5230W has Wi-Fi enabled. It costs around £130 to buy and i need to try to convince my parents to let me buy it. I don't expect them to pay for it, as i would give them the money some howw, its just they won't let me. Every phone i have had for years has been free or second-hand and not in amazing quality, and if i get this i would have a decent, good quality phone that could last me for ages.

Basically, what do you think i do/say?

Thanks.

tell them you promise to give them the money, or did you already do that....sorry if you did already

Well my first suggestion is to ask if you can work off the debt. That is what I do when I want something. If they do not allow this then ask if you can get it for your birthday or for Christmas. I know it probably seems like it is a long time from now, but if you truly want it you are willing to wait.

Also you can try to get a job with a small business. Sometimes they are willing to give jobs to children your age. Working for a farm isn't a bad idea either. You'll get outside and you'll be doing something that takes effort rather than mopping floors and doing dishes. It won't take that long to get the money for that phone with a job that pays minimum wage. Maybe a few weeks.

Ask them for the money, and ask them what you can do to re-pay them the debt. Try to do nice things for them, since they are giving you the money for it.
