You should be yourself. Don't let someone tell you who you should be. Whether you black white or whatever. You will develop your own personality as you get older. Just because you have mixed races doesn't mean that you have to act like one or the other. You are who you are.

You should just tell them that you're happy with the person that you are and you don't plan on changing for everyone. No one should have the power to dictate who you should be. If you ever need someone to talk to I'm always here shoot me a VM anytime.

Why change to fit others views? It makes no sense. Letting you feel comfortable should be in the best interest of your family and friends, not becoming something stereotypical. The way you act shouldn't be based on the color of your skin anyway. It should be based on your personality and who you are as a person for that is what defines who you are.

On the upside of being different you are unique. You are your own person, not something someone shaped. You can act the way you feel is the way you should, not that of those around you.

If you feel comfortable changing then maybe consider it. Change can be good sometimes, but sometimes changing something like your personality is bad. Keep your options open and think about it.

I'm also black and i had a similar "problem". I say "problem" because it's not really a big deal. I just ignored what people said and did what i felt like doing. Your friends are right when they say it's okay for you to be like that because it's who you are. You don't have to defend yourself to anyone (or at least i didn't do it) when they make fun of you (or whatever they do). Just be yourself.

There is no reason to change, when you don't want to change you're self. It sounds like you're only wanting to change for them, and if you are going to change, change for you're self..

Just be you're self, and if they don't like it, don't worry with them.
