So I got my laptop back from the tech place.

They had to restore it to factory default, which means I lost EVERYTHING.

Is there any possible way I can get back my files?

You could try a file recovery program. Recuva (http://www.piriform.com/recuva) is supposed to be good, but I haven't used it so I don't know.

I just remembered this:

A while ago I bought a new phone and when I put in my memory card it formatted it and I lost 3 years of pictures. So after some searching I came across PC Inspector File Recovery. It only worked while recovering a couple of photos at once, as it would freeze up with more than that, but it got the job done and was free. It might help you.

I use Recover My File (http://www.recovermyfiles.com/). And it worked nicely and smoothly. Works wonder if your PC or laptop is fast and has a lot CPU power.
