I get all my music from Amazon.com.

They have like every song ever made and published. lol

Each MP3 is 99 cents to $1.50, or you can get the whole album downloaded for a better price than paying for each one.

Limewire is illegal if you keep the music file you download, as with any music sharing site.

Burning a CD is also technically illegal and is one of those things that can not be regulated and is often overlooked... i use Limewire btw although if it is a band i perticularly like and not just someone i've taken and interest in, (Nickleback for example) i would normally just buy the CD.

Just remember folks you cannot promote any websites that are breaking the law.

I currently source all my music legally since the radio station I work for pays for all the tracks.

I usually go old fashioned and buy CD's.

that or I buy them from iTunes, since they're always cheaper there anyway.

oh and free downloads from purevolume <3

I occasionally buy CD's if there reduced since I do like having proper CD's in the car and not just discs I've made using the music the radio station I work for provides.

I actually like owning albums, with the artwork, liner notes, etc.

I buy virtually everything on iTunes. The only time I won't is when I either know I, or a friend, already have/has it on CD, or if its something like AC/DC and they don't have it on iTunes in which case I get it from a friend.

Well, when you're someone like me that listens to three new albums a day, It would be kind of hard to afford all that shit just for a couple pictures of band members posing and lyrics you can find on the internet. Plus, the bands make most money on tours and merch, not the albums. That's why Trent Reznor himself even put his last two NIN albums out for free.

Bands in some cases make a lot of money off of albums

The album Dookie for example, it sold over 12 million copies in the 90's and is still selling a lot

Record company made most of the money, not the band. Bands make most of there money from concerts and merchandise. How many times do I have to say this?

uTorrent for whole albums, and frostwire for single songs. But from local bands i buy their cd's or get the music off a friend. Youtube rippers are good for very hard to find stuff.

Mainly through searching the album and artist in Google and adding rapidshare/mediafire/etc.. I used to torrent but don't since doing it through rapidshare or something is much quicker. I buy things where and when I can/want to.
